DMII Editor

Post by justsomeguy »

Does anyone know where you can get an editor for the Legend of Skullkeep (PC CD) version of DUNGEON.DAT? (And GRAPHICS.DAT if it's necessary.) If not, how about the structure of the DUNGEON.DAT file? There's a pretty clear description of the file structure for Dungeon Master 1 over at http://dmweb.free.fr/?q=node/217, but it doesn't seem to be consistent for Legend of Skullkeep.

No full editor, but people such as kenatoro have built the starts of editors (see the DM Encyclopaedia tools forum)

I believe you can even load a dungeon.dat file under CBsuild, but it doens#t make complete sense... gets close thouhg!

Kentaro did a marvelous job with Dungeon Master II, and yet it remains unknown  :

DMDC2 is a full featured dungeon.dat editor. http://dmweb.free.fr/?q=node/719

DM2GDED is a full featured graphics.dat editor. http://dmweb.free.fr/?q=node/721

The dungeon.dat file format is the same for DM, CSB and DM2. There are some specificities for Dungeon Master II, and they are mentionned on the specification.
