nice! maybe we could add another avatar list with them? (that`s because they look different comparing to DM/CSB portraits; if some new users chooses them, that`d be easier to recognize them).

I don't know if there ever was an Ishar 3, but I certainly recognise a lot of those pics as being from Ishar 2, which I was playing a few weeks ago after Dad found it for download on the Net somewhere ;).

Yes, I have these images already, and I did consider adding them as a new set of forum avatars, but as some were different sizes and would need some work, I couldn't be arsed. :)

Out of interest, what was Ishar 3 like? I didn't even know it existed before today, lol.

Was it the one that took place entirely within one city except for the time-traveling portals? If so, it was OK, I guess. I played it to the end if I recall but don't have very persistent memories of it, so yea, OK is my guess.

It's amazing to me that all these prtraits only use 16 colors between them, including the power pink background, and they still look good.

Except for the second one from the bottom in the rightmost column. What were they thinking?

Lol, that character looks like having lost quite a bit of sanity.

Parallax have you ever seen some ancient mosaics? they use far less stones (which means colour) and if I remember correctly they look awesome.
But nevertheless astounding with how little you can achieve great effects..

Just found some Baldur's gate II portriats - not sure if this has already been posted or not.

Not sure is these can actually be used though - regarding copyright and such.

Any idea who that skeleton character is? I see him for the first time.

And I agree.. Ishar III is the worse chapter in the series... kind of like EoB III
