Big surprise that Conflux II won overall, eh Zyx? Not surprising, considering who posted the results.

...

Just kidding. Congratulations.

Did you notice also that I sorted them alphabetically so my dungeon would come first each time ? :)

No, the aim is not to shine here - I prefer darkness -. The awards should give information to the new players and feedback to the designers. But we need more dungeons!

Would it be too much to say which "platform" and version number each of the dungeons belongs to/is compatable with, and where we can download to try them out for ourselves?

That Conflux II sounds pretty interesting.

Des Bro Dain, you better check out Conflux III, not CII, it`s (in general) similar to Conflux II , but with much better graphics and a lot of other cool stuff!

And I'll be able to play Conflux III if I download CSBWin version 9.8?

I'm downloading that now...

[edit: How do I use a ".rar" file?]

RAR is a compressed format similar to zip and nowadays almost as widespread. However, WinXP can handle zip by default, but not rar. To decompress rar files just download the program WinRAR for example from http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm, it's fully usable even if you just take the trial version.

I'd be a bit more careful than that. I think ConfluxIIIi
came with an executable of CSBwin. I would use the
one that came with it. The runtime engine and the
dungeon file perform a bit of a balancing act together.

DesBroDain : just a quick question, did you managed to complete Chaos Strikes Back ? i mean if not, you should first try this challenge before Conflux, which is the hardest dungeon ever made.

Hopefully you've now seen the second sticky right under this one and found the platform and download areas. RTC dungeons should have the version numbers attached, any dungeon from 0.28 onwards I think will be about 99% compatible (there is a fudge with a acivation by spell triggers, and maybe some minor others like when texts are remotely said)
CSBwin dungeons will all work under the latest platform, it's the old stable release that may give you problems with new duntgeons (no idea about your crash under 9.8 with the normal dungeons, sorry). Same with DM Java.

Hey cool, thanks for your advice everyone.

I sorted out the problem with the crashing (yes it was the sound as it turns out!) and no, I've not completed Chaos Strikes Back yet, but I'll have a play tomorrow and see how I go.

:)
