Scroll in alcove list (CSBwin)

Dead posts cluttering up the front page of certain non-RTC forums are kept here. Threads have the forum subject attached, except custom dungeon threads (which are obvious)

Scroll in alcove list (CSBwin)

Post by beowuuf »

Is 'scroll' missing from the alcove special items list, or an I just blind?

It appears to be missing. I need to determine why.

It is a bit strange. The 'graphics.dat' has an
array of 180 object types. Object type zero has
the name 'OPEN SCROLL'. There is no object type
entry with name 'SCROLL'.

In the Actuator list I could add an extra entry for
'SCROLL' but that would lead people to believe that
an 'OPEN SCROLL' was somehow different from a 'SCROLL'.
But, as we both discovered, 'OPEN SCROLL' is
difficult to find when looking for 'SCROLL'. So what I
did was give the entry the 'wrong' ( not the same as
what is in graphics.dat ) name. The zeroth entry now has
the name 'SCROLL'.

A strange name... you'd think 'open scroll' would only be for the scroll graphic when the scroll is open
