However, the tick mark is not explained there - maybe there's another meaning for this, like " = not available", or something like that.

Re: this is provocation !
The browser market does change. There was a time when IE legitimately (or, at least, in the opinion of many) was the best browser, and there may be a time when it is again-- I just wouldn't believe it because Microsoft's website says so.
Re: this is provocation !
Well, isn't nice that Microsoft actually accepts that there is competition. It would be interesting to see where they got some of their information, if not just out of the Microsoft Box.
It's not a bug in the program, I've just gone and done something weird.
Re: this is provocation !
I'd disagree on FF's good performance. It starts off fast, but due to some kind of memory management engorgement process it slows down horribly.
Me, I'm a converted Chrome user. It's taken a long time but I like fast and clean, over gadgets and fireworks. I Use FF for real web development (Javascript), and IE for when I want the web site to actually work (it is will ALWAYS be the web standard for the old web pages I have to look at).

The only thing I use IE for is to get to the web and to download another browser - so I use it only once per one computer.

Re: this is provocation !
I'm on the same page as Ian Scho. As a web designer, I have a ton of other browsers installed also, but Chrome's my main surfing choice these days and since they finally added autocomplete in v2, it's finally fully practical. Now I just need an ad blocker for it, have been meaning to check out Ad Sweep for a while...

Re: this is provocation !
i also use Chrome (actually, not the official release but the latest Chromium nightly build and a little rockin' tool named Chromium Nightly Updater) but had to install FF3 and IE8 to test proScreamer skin..
Chrome is for people who like minimalistic i.e. fast but efficient browsing. IE is only needed to... errmmm... reach Hotmail from Messenger..
[troll]
FF is for "i have that plugin that is clearly unuseful, but i have it, muahahaaaaaarrrrhh i rock" people.

Re: this is provocation !
pshhh! I use FF.. and I seem to remember it being people here that convinced me to start using it What I do dislike about it though is that I can not access the temporary files anymore, I imagine someone decided that was how people were ripping off quicktimes and such (since that's what I use IE for ) and decided to lock us all out.
oh that and also needing to shut off FF in order to install a plugin.. which you're FORCED to do each time Adobe updates flash..

Re: this is provocation !
I use FF because it's open source.
Chrome frightens me because it's Google, again :
- I use it for my mail
- I use it for maps
- I use it for web searches
- I use it for news (some times)
- I use Facebook
...
Heck, I'll probably need google to feed and breathe some day.

Re: this is provocation !
Chromium is the open source project behind Chrome. If you like Chrome features but don't want Google's bigbrother eye, you can get the source and compile it ... which is obviously what i am not doing

hehe ! I assume they don't subrepticiously put a Bigbrother's eye in the compiled version. That would be
