Torhams stats lousy?

Has anyone else noticed that Torham's stats aren't as good as other people? I trained Torham and Bane side-by-side, and Bane ended up having WAY more Stamina, more Mana, and higher Dexterity, Vitality, and Anti-Magic than Torham. Is Torham's only advantage his levels and cash at the start?

He also has good hair...but otherwise yeah, it would be nicer to ditch him

According to this, Bane has the highest stats total. Compared to him, Torham's only advantage is his high wisdom, which doesn't actually seem to do much (it increases the rate of mana regeneration while sleeping).
Still, Torham is a decent hero, with all around good stats and no real weak point. He's actually tied for 3rd highest stat total in the game.
