A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools. Joined 27 Feb 2005 as Dark.

Given the gaps in time between previous posts, one or two weeks is fine A 'forum quote of that week', if you will!

Beowuuf: How far have you got?
Re: Forum Quote of the week
What? I was just asking the questiion that got lost. Isn't that encouragement, really? Taking an interest?

Yes, of course, it's just from a different point of view it's unintentionally hilarious. I know you were being genuine.

Or not.
Anyway, an impressive thought to hold and behold. Kudos to my imaginary particles - whose society could be called our brains.

I know exactly what he means.zyx wrote:I hope you'll manage to understand, I feel so clumsy with my words. I can make a dungeon with a trapped beholder if you prefer, it would explain better.

RAF68 has been logged out (Timeout)
Seems like this comment is seen almost every time I log on to the chatroom.
Oops. 'Forum' quote of the week. My bad.

Yeah, that's an issue with the chatroom software. It doesn't mean RAF logs out every time you join
(Basically, if someone stops typing in the chatroom, but doesn't log themselves out, then they won't get auto logged out until the next person logs in.)

Re: Forum Quote of the week
I knew that. I was hinting that 'someone' needed to log out, at least occasionally, rather than napping.
And I just figured out that the 'chatroom' QOTW is on the Informal News and Chat.
Oh well, I started on this one, so I'll finish here.

Re: Forum Quote of the week
RAF must have been not only napping, but sleeping like a log yesterday - I started chatting with him, he told me "hello", I asked him a few questions, and then I was waiting for about 45 minutes for any response, and then (after no response, but with RAF still logged in) I just logged out. RAF must have had a hard day. I hope he slept well and that he had nice dreams.
Finally playing and immensely enjoying the awesome Thimbleweed Park-a-reno!

Reading dictionaries is as boring as reading telephone books. Don't blame him!

This tickled me:
Paul Stevens wrote:My original CSB disks quit on me and I had to buy

had to write CSBwin.
Re: Forum Quote of the week
ROFL! Well, what else do you do if you lose access to CSB? Without it, live just hasn't any meaning anymore!
Parting is all we know from Heaven, and all we need of hell.
Re: Forum Quote of the week
If Paul`s Atari wouldn`t die, he would never write CSBwin and Zyx would never create Conflux out of it. Thanx God it happened!
