The Office

Post by Tom Hatfield »

Just started watching it. Hilarious. I love it. The acting is absolutely amazing. But I'm wondering: what's the difference between the US and UK versions? Because in the episodes I've downloaded (first two seasons — for shame!), they all specifically say US in the titles.

If that guy were my boss, I would (a) walk out immediately, or (b) stab him in the face repeatedly with sharp objects.

The UK version is the original and was a huge success over here. Like most successful sitcoms, it was remade for the USA with US specific situations. I haven't seen the USA version, but from what I've heard it's nowhere NEAR as funny as our original English version.... :-)
