I cannot make it work with custom dungeon, a custom hcsb.htc, and the CSbwin from the 30th may release.
The oracle interface appears, i hit the "load" button, choose a savegame, and it says "Cannot read savefile. Perhaps not utilized"
(This savegame has more than 16 levels, if it's pertinent)

The Hint Oracle only works on saved games. Now I think
that I see your problem, however. You want to release
a 'Prison' kind of game that has never been 'Saved'. You want
to release it in 'Dungeon' Format. And you want it to
be 'Hintable' as soon as the player saves it the first time.
It that your problem?

Yep, that's it exactly. I thought it would 'just work', so that when I saved my game and used the new custom hint oracle, it would automatically read the relevant hints from it.
Is it possible to do this? You mentioned something before about 'hint flags' in mini.dat. Can this not be applied to the dungeon format rather than a save game.
I suppose the other alternative is to release a save game with one character already fixed, but this seemed to annoy people who played DM2, and I'd rather the player could choose four champions.
