is dungeon master = D&D ?

is dungeon master same with dungeon & dragon ?
because i newby comer. te he. did anyone know about this ?

I think it's hard to have a number crunching role playing game that isn't slightly influenced by d&d, but no, not directly..things like Eye of the beholder are, but not dungeon master
In fact, they went to great lengths to keep the number crunching and stats hidden..plus there are a few things (like a luck skill) that are totally alien to D&D rules.
