Re: Features for DSB
Then I don't get it either. I casted several wizard spells, and Ya potions, and killed all screamers and mummies on Level 1, by a mixture of missiles and melee, and no character got anything in regard to levels, neither fighter, nor ninja, nor priest, nor wizard. Might have been less than 125 swings...

Re: Features for DSB
Well, yes and no. The engine is certainly powerful enough to surpass RTC, but it lacks yet some details, and also it was probably not as thoroughly tested as RTC.
Character import and a working DM2 are 2 important features imho.

Re: Features for DSB
Probably there are more dungeon tinkerers than people actually playing them. But that means, that I can contribute something to interface improvement and debugging without currently tinkering some dungeon by myself. It'd be great if DSB could at some point achieve being able to do everything that RT...

Re: Features for DSB
Right, I was just posting along while playing. If you prefer, I'll rather edit my last post again til there is a reply.
Currently I'm not ging to continue to play anyway, at least not until some light is shed on that XP issue.

Re: Features for DSB
Well, as always I just suggest what I'd like to see from a player perspective and leave it at your discretion whether it is to difficult to implement. If it is to difficult, than I'd suggest for now to simply invert the order (Char 1 = Attack 3, Char 2 = Attack 2, Char 3 = Attack 1, Char 4 = Pass), ...

Re: Features for DSB
Rightklicking on character icons:
- Can you make character turn counter-clockwise if they are right-clicked on their left side (a feature that was added to RTC too on my request).

Re: Features for DSB
First suggestion with the sortcut keys: I absolutely like the weapon shortcut keys. However, they could be even more handy with a minor tweak: Set "Pass" to Char 4 (instead of Char 1) , Set dynamical "Lowest usable attack method" to Char 3 Set dynamical "second-lowest usable...

Re: Features for DSB
Hey Sophia, good to see that you're still around here. So, from quickly browsing through the release threads and starting the game just once for a short moment my impression is (compared to my last memories of V0.42): - some bugs and glitches have been removed and the game has been made more stable ...

Haven't been following DSB for quite a while, you just made me curious how far DSB has developed so far and whether it is still being further developed.

Though the latest of those files are from 2010, so if there have been later updates, they might be replaced, but first things first.

Re: LIST OF CUSTOM DUNGEONS
Well, actually I don't mind whether the backup is here or somewhere else - my intention was just to have them as a backup all in one place instead of having them first spread among multiple external file hosters and then slowly notice them disappear one by one. I've been using Skydrive because the D...

Since those files aren't that big - is there some leftover space where the forum is hosted?

Re: LIST OF CUSTOM DUNGEONS
So, finally, after sorting through some old HD from the machine I last played DM/RTC, I'm reloading my dungeon archive to my skydrive (upload in progress, will take a couple of hours). Since sykdrive seems to flush stuff without notice some other backup solution is advisable for the future.

Re: LIST OF CUSTOM DUNGEONS
Um, while I had a pretty messed up 2011 and didn't had much time for Dungeon Master, I actually didn't intent to disappear completely. I just noticed that my MSN Skydrive where I stored all those custom dungeons is blank, I guess it is flushed after a certain period of not being used actively. I int...

You can also play the original Theron's Quest with an TurboGrafX / PC Engine emulator, see http://dmweb.free.fr/?q=node/252
The same goes for Dungeon Master Nexus with Sega Saturn emulator.

But if anyone still has a Sleepers version fixed for newer RTC engine versions I could add that too to my skydrive.

Since my RTC engine archive is still incomplete, I didn't upload it so far. However, since Reactor might not work sufficiently in V0.24 I've added RTC V0.23 to my custom dungeon skydrive. http://cid-5af78f9a064bada7.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/.Public/Custom%20Dungeons/RTC_V001-V023.zip Still missin...
