Re: [RTC] Nightkin
I've now completed it too - I had 300+ health, 100+ mana and, er, 30 stamina at the end which I agree was a bit surreal (the ending, not the stamina). Overall I would give this one 8/10 - it certainly had me hooked, especially at the start. Lots of nice touches such as the lower case inscriptions an...

Re: [RTC] Nightkin
If you haven't got the gold key you won't have found the moon item yet. I nearly chucked away the Sun item. 25 is the percentage chance of the pad closing the pit when an object lands on it. One of the gold coins involves a 20 per cent pad. One of the coins is right opposite a keyhole. I thought the...

Re: [RTC] Nightkin
If you do a search on Vitality you will see that what George has implemented in RTC may or may not be what was intended in the original game - in CSBWin it is an important stat for wizards so maybe more about Mana recovery than stamina (?) Back to Nightkin - I didn't take any of the extra characters...

I used to be open-minded about Creationism and Intelligent Design, but after getting involved in a discussion on a different internet forum this changed. I ended up reading a lot of Creationist websites featuring so-called scientists such as Walter Brown and Barry Setterfield. After this I became to...

Just watched the new Futurama movie "Bender's Game" which is a Dungeons and Dragons spoof. I thought it was very funny but not everyone agrees, see http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1054486/

Door bashing question
Hi all - my first post for a while.. I received an email query about my custom dungeon Angel's Egg RTC http://www.sholing.force9.co.uk/angel.htm recently to do with a door that won't open. In the weapons room on level 1 a golem guards a door which Arnie can break down with his starting strength, but...

I've heard there *is* going to be an Elric movie, but this isn't it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Ycjun-J9iY
I'd love to see a movie made around Piers Anthony's Xanth novels, and for a 3-hour epic, how about Thomas Covenant?

Hmm. well I started this thread.... So here's what I did. The secret URL to the Angel's Egg maps is found on a scroll in The Golden Void. I put it there because the map of level 10 enables you to escape from the Void quickly (otherwise it's a sod). Trouble is you only end up there if it all goes hor...

Just watched Beowulf on DVD - cracking movie! I was particularly impressed with how they got Beowulf to mate with Grendel's mum. You don't see her (apart from a tentacle) until Beowulf confronts her, then you get Angelina Jolie, starkers with liquid gold running all over her body. Make a dragon? Yea...

I used to play D&D in the 80s and Gygax was revered like a god.
It says here http://www.newsweek.com/id/118775 that the old, sick Gygax still played D&D regularly right up to his death. Unfortunately he didn't quite get his missus up enough cleric levels in time...

His Dark Materials hits the silver screen either as The Golden Compass or the Norhtern Lights depending on where you are. I hope to see this one (and Beowulf too) at the cinema soon.

The new Beowulf move http://www.beowulfmovie.com/ looks promising. It will have to go some to beat the superb Stardust for best fantasy movie of 2007. Unless you count 300 which is sort of half historical epic half fantasy (especially the monsters).
