Re: [RTC] Fluxated
The biggest problem I had creating my dungeon was knowing how the adventurer 'level up' would affect traps and monster 'hit points' Setting the strengths as levels progressed was guess work. It depends on how many monster spawns you had to deal with. On early levels, if you didn't trigger them, you ...

Re: [RTC] Fluxated
Yeah, the room with the Rockies I'd realised some doors needed a Square key, which you wouldn't have. Threw in a spare set of lock picks too. I did think about that door closing on you too, but hoped you'd have a Skeleton key stashed on you by default. There are two Skeleton Keys, one in the Chest a...

Re: [RTC] Fluxated
Well, as the first adventurer, I did mention you may also be a beta-tester You have highlighted two errors and were only really 2 levels from completion I'm convinced, and yet could be proved wrong, that the dungeon is now working how do feel the dungeon played? I still need to know whether you were...

Re: [RTC] Fluxated
Yeah, the sconce eating your torches is a bug. The door causing your trouble was cut-n-pasted on top of an existing door. Fixed it now. Unfortunately, anyone who has downloaded the dungeon in the last 8 hours has a duff copy Stop playing now if you're one of those. The fix I uploaded 8 hours ago was...

Re: [RTC] Fluxated
This is where save games come in handy - I've done a Sierra Soft. on this one When you enter the level, two fire pits block your way. If you use a gold key (door Open), instead of the lock picks, (tested: left hand side) the key toggles closed and the lock-picks are deactivated (they won't toggle th...

Re: [RTC] Fluxated
Luckily, no. Being the wrong side of a door you cannot open is the only foreseeable problem.
Touch wood you make it thru in one sitting and I only have the odd improvement to make.
As for improvements, hopefully that will mostly be about levelling up, monster strength and numbers - hopefully

Re: [RTC] Fluxated
You're doing well - I was worried some of the paths may have been too well hidden. From what I can gather, after the Gor coins, you should exit that level and open a fake wall to reveal the use for the cross Key. The second door should open with the same key used in the boulder room. If you didn't s...

[RTC] Fluxated
" Fluxated by having to use the Firestaff? Did you spend days fire-balling Chaos and he never died? Well I've set a trap - and now we shall kill him, and maybe, even get to relish the result..." Small-ish dungeon, to mimic the original, not tested, so hoping those who go first are willing ...

Re: [RTC] DungeonZ
Apart from not seeing a spectacular ending I just walked thru a door into a haze and it ended I never did find a key for the lock on level 2, after you drop through the floor from one of the "coin alcoves" It's opposite the stairs with the flame. At least I solved the riddle - and, even if...

Re: [RTC] DungeonZ
I was just getting into this dungeon when it ended. A good effort. I'm not a fan of having to use the spell book, but I did find the spell scrolls and power runes to activate the most necessary ones. The slime pit almost stopped me, (almost didn't find the route to it, the false walls fooled me good...

Re: [RTC] DungeonZ
I like this Dungeon. Classic game play. I agree with Jan on the Monster Strengths, but maybe you designed them to be avoided. Once I accepted I may have to reload a save game , I just went for it. Some of the triggers are too far apart, and not knowing what you've activated, whilst interesting once ...

Re: [RTC] Dungeon Master HD
I really liked this mod, agreed, some things look a bit too 'plastic' Would be nice if more RTC dungeons included the .txt for modification (I understand not wanting to share those though) I managed to modify Dungeons Matter to HD - all I had to do was add the contents of the replace.txt thus.... I ...

Re: [DSB] Two Lovers dungeon
This was fun...I took a look at the RTC version and have to say I prefer this one, I prefer only 'sympathetic' modifications
to the look and feel of DM, either way, this dungeon get my approval

Re: Escape 3.0 - demo
Good dungeon, really good, but rage quit after haze maze and racetrack, just a little too much for me.
I liked the ghoul tho', that was funny - nice layout and reasonably challenging (up until the aforementioned)

Re: So, tell us about yourself...
First played Dungeon Master and CSB back on the Amiga between 1989-1993 (1991 was spent exclusively playing Captive) - Had original box sets with Gor coin - remember (intuitively) discovering the FUL bomb (flask) spell in DM - remember being able to use a grapple and climb up in CSB - forgot how har...
