Hiho,
downloaded. game won't start, giving me a windows error message displaying the game's path + "eob4.exe" and a "falscher parameter" (wrong parameter) error - no further information and no windows-event entry. using win7 64bit. any ideas?

Will this be the game I'm hoping for since the times of DM, EOB, LOL and Stonekeep? Or will it just be another half-finished experiement? Eagerly awaiting Grimlock.

Re: DMT 2 v0.06 released
So at least. Tested Version Debug3b on my "cursed" laptop. Version runs without the hangs (except for one hand right at the starting position of the characters at the very start of the game) but at low FPS. Two debug-screens below: http://a.imageshack.us/img525/8889/debug3ba.th.png http://...

Re: DMT 2 v0.06 released
I have had the chance to test Version 006 and Version 006 Debug3b at work and can confirm that it is not a Win7 problem. Machine specs: Core Duo T9300, 4 GB RAM, Nvidia 8600MGT, Win7 32bit. Runs smooth. No problems at all. So perhaps its a Nvidia-driver issue. At work I run an old driver (v195.62). ...

Re: DMT 2 v0.06 released
Well, next batch of debug-info with debug-version 2. Tested on my Laptop Dual Core (Win7 32 bit, 4 GB RAM, Nvidia 9600MGT) It seems it has nothing to do with lighting, shadows, normal texturing - as the problem remains the same even when turning off the one or the other option or all of them. I have...

Re: DMT 2 v0.06 released
Actually, particles off does not change anything, except for the particles timer being "normal". The game still hangs for half a second after making a few steps (when "entering" a new area ?). By the way I do not have 64bit on the system I'm testing on. I have Win7 32 bit. I can ...

Re: DMT 2 v0.06 released
In windows mode, game runs better. Seems everytime the game "loads" a new part of the dungeon, it makes a "stop". Here are two three shots (debug3 being the most interesting) http://a.imageshack.us/img208/4232/debug1.png http://a.imageshack.us/img842/3051/debug2.png http://a.imag...

Ok. Part I: Started debug-game to get debug info - switched task to notepad to enter information - wanted to switch task back to game - the following error message appeared: The 3D3 devce has a non-zero reference count, meaning some objects were not released. Then game crashes No back to debugging.....

Re: DMT 2 v0.06 released
I would like to try the new version, but I have a big problem. I only get 13 fps at best when monsters are around or when turning, 62 fps if I do nothing. Distance is at 50% (10 tiles), resolution is 1024x768 windowed. I turned shadows and mapping off - no improvement. It is unplayable at 1366x768. ...

Re: The Apple iPad launched today.
Too expensive.
Too small for your desktop.
Too large for your handbag.
Too reflective a surface, especially when used outdoors.
Too fast overheating.
Too bad I can't warm up with that thing and
Too bad I don't even know why.

Re: DMT 2 Betatesters wanted
Hehe, surprice surprice :) You have to think in the opposite way, think of the haze as a teleporter and that the fake wall needs something "non-fake" ;) I have it. But: I stood at the edge of the teleport to throw a heavy stone (boulder) towards the fake wall because when I stood farther ...

Now. To the editor: i can place things. but how to link things (such as press button a to open door b) and more importantly how to remove a floor/wall/item/clear a square? Is it possible to make a "new" map or do i have to "overwrite" the existing one?

So back again. As promised I have completed the level. Have not found any stoppers / dead-ends. No crashes. Just two small (?) things /suggestions: 1. you should reduce the lightning. especailly in bright light (i.e. outdoors) or objects (such as gates) near a light source have a plastic effect with...
