Yeah, Plague is cool, but I like Buzzzz and Petal most. I like reincarnating them and calling them Maja and Willi. :-D

Skelar looks cool (mistook him with Deth yesternight). For the wizards I like Buzzzz and Petal. The 2 centaurs look cool as well, as do the 2 incas or mayas.

I never use the CSB chars 'cause I always continue as my DM party, but most of the CSB ones look cool 'cause they're not human...the skellies, the bugs, the birdies, the reptiles (Toadrot is an ugly git but he's an amphibian :P), even Lana and Tunda (the centaurs) don't look too bad...

I HATE Itza with his smug cheerful look and his gold square hat! He's the Mophus of CSB!

OMG it figures that the first time I look in this thread, someone's dissing on (is that phrased right?) Mophus again. :( So tragic!

I think the centaur guy is the coolest looking person in CSB. Unfortunately, as I could never get past the very beginning (I died a lot, though!), I can't really speak for the usefulness of anyone. Watching BFS play, though, it seems that the centaur guy can carry a whole lot too.

He's an optimist! The glass is always half -full-! Rather than going all goth and broody, Mophus has decided to look at life with a smile, and find the happiness and the bright sides no matter what's going on!

Or something.

I guess the reason Mophus smiles is because he is a perverted psycho and actually enjoys being tormented and trapped in a mirror...

*sniff sniff*

Why can't we all make fun of someone else, for a change? Like Syra? Or one of those Plague Deathy things? Or even Petal?

Nah, Petal is too cute as a Maja-Clone... But don't you think Mophus looks a like a madman who only waits to stab his companions in the back? We could of course make fun of Sonya and how she shares her name with some atrocious Brigitte Nielsen character while sharing her title with Roseanne Barr... Might make a good target.

I think Mophus looks like a nice, happy guy. I never thought he looked scary when I watched the game as a kid, and I am one of the most easily frightened people I've ever known.

I think Syra looks like a deranged monster, like she's going to eat people and then say "hur hur hur". Then again, I also tended to rename her "Cereal Food of Nature" ... so I guess it's obvious I don't like her.

LOL, just because she decided to enter the dungeon using only a wickedly sharpened apple as a weapon is no reason to mock Syra : )
I think it's unfair to call Mophus a psycho, he's just a little too happy, that's all.

Eh, I don't know why the CSB characters just don't seem to have as much life as the DM ones...maybe it's just because they are there and not tied directly to the game like the characters in the Hall of Champions are.

Hahaha ... we can be the Mophus Defender Team! We can make tshirts and everything.

Honestly, I think it's because the CSB people come in teams. In DM, you have these varied individuals and you have to form your own team out of them. I mean, yeah, Boris and Tiggy are both tiny halfling mages of sorts, and Leif and Syra are the elves, but that's honestly about as similar as you get with that game. The CSB people come in pairs or complete sets. That kind of makes them feel more gimmicky, and there's less personality, less originality. Like ... "oh, I think I'll go with the fairy tale creatures! Or, no, I'll take the team of undead!" With DM, you put together a team however you wanted, out of whomever you wanted. And just look at the different relationships between the teams in our various DM stories to see what that will do.

you know what, I think you hit the nail on the head - like 'Ooh, I have the Four Horsemen of the Apocolyse, whahahah, we'll take over the dungoen and keep doing Chaos's good work! Whahaha...Aww, please, one little Apocolypse? Bah, ooooooooooooook, we'll destroy the corbums' *whistle*
