Re: RTC vs. DM Java
Haven't abandoned my dungeon project, but I'll prolly be taking a break for the summer.

Re: RTC vs. DM Java
A quick question about the RTC editor... How can I choose which doors are indestructible? I've assumed that strength 100% makes a door indestructible regardless of the material of the door, is this correct?

Re: RTC vs. DM Java
Thanks for all the replies. If nothing new and shocking comes up, I think I'll build my first dungeon with RTC, since I have already gotten rather used to it, and I have some grand plans involving the use of music, which may not be very cross-platform friendly anyway. If someone is interested, this ...

RTC vs. DM Java
I'm trying to decide which to use in making my dungeon. Do people play RTC because it's more faithful to the original, or are there other reasons? Do you have preferences which to use when playing custom dungeons? I'm interested in adding my own music, so I'm of course more interested in RTC, but is...

Re: Performance issues
OK. "Problem" solved. My party was carrying too much weight. I guess I should have mentioned I'm completely new to this game. I realized what the problem was when I was trying whether DM Java had similar issues, and after making a huge map, tried to get past the first skeleton by giving my...

Re: Adding custom music and graphics
You're absolutely right. I can't imagine how I failed to notice that. I guess I was trying to add a new playlist, since I wanted to add music instead of "sound", but yeah, now I know better than that.

Adding custom music and graphics
How? I can't find any way to do either. If I record my own music as wave file, how an earth do I add it to my dungeon? I haven't spent as much time trying to add my own graphics, but I fail to see any way of doing that either. I've tried the tools at DMweb as well (music), to no avail.

Re: Performance issues
It's not long ago (several days) that I updated my directX 9.0c. Should I be using an older version than 9.0c? My processor is an AMD as well. It can use MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, and AMD 3D Now! instructions, although as everyone knows, older games are usually optimized for older processors, when they ...

Performance issues - Resolved
I started playing the RTC version of DM a few hours ago, and the game was smooth at first. However, at some point already on the first level (below Hall of Champions) the game started to use 100% processor power (3.15Ghz) or thereabouts and slow down repeatedly. There was a lag between pressing a b...
